LR05

We visited LR05 on July 17, 2019.

This tot lot was a short walk down the path from the street. Each area of the tot lot is in it's own little area.  There are 3 big kid swings and 2 baby swings all on the same beam. There is one bouncy animal, right in front of the 2 benches. There's a ramp up to the slide, which is plastic. The slide is about 4 feet high and goes straight down. This is a nicely shaded tot lot as well.

LR17

We visited LR17 on August 1, 2018.

LR17 is located just off of Stonecutter Rd, and is visible from the street. (As we pulled up my daughter yelled "I see it!").  We spent over 2 hours here, so it's definitely a fun tot lot. There is a square sandbox with toys in it. There are 3 bouncy animals and a tunnel. There's a nice set of monkey bars, but again, they are very high off the ground. The monkey bars were also the only part of the tot lot that seemed to be consistently in the sun. The slide structure has a ramp going up and a metal ladder on the side. The slide is about 5 1/2 feet high, plastic, and goes straight down. The slide is not super high off the ground, but was high enough for my toddler to land flat on her bottom a few times. On one beam there are 3 big kid swing and 2 baby swings.  The big kid swings are of varying heights and not as high off the ground as others that I've seen. This was a pretty well shaded tot lot, at least in the morning.

LR01 and LR02

We visited LR01 and LR02  on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

We started at LR02, which is next to the Phelps Luck Pool. There is parking by the pool and by the Phelps Luck Elementary School. This is a small tot lot, but is fenced in. There is no sign either. There is a small sandbox right at the entrance. There is one bouncy animal, and a slide. There are steps going up to the slide, which is plastic and about 4 feet high. There's a little tunnel area under the slide structure. This tot lot is in full sun. There are no trees around, so it isn't likely that there's ever much shade. Other than the pool there are also basketball courts right by the tot lot. There are no benches to sit on.

We walked over to LR01, which was only a 5 to 7 minute walk. We did have to cross Phelps Luck Dr to get to the other path. This is a larger tot lot. There are 2 baby swings on one beam and 3 big kid swings on another beam, but they are next to each other. The big kid swings are of varying heights.  There are 2 bouncy animals and a sandbox. There are steps up to the slide, which is plastic, about 5 feet high and has a couple of bounces going down. There is a little green field across the path, but there's also a small lake, so keep an eye out if your kids are running around over there. There is one bench to sit on. This tot lot is a bit shaded, but not completely shaded.

LR19 and LR22

We visited 2 tot lots in Long Reach on August 23, 2017.

We started at LR22. We parked on April Brook Circle, right at the path, but this tot lot is also accessible from Painted Yellow Gate and Gray Sea Way.  There are 2 big kid swings and 2 baby swings. The big kid swings are a little high off the ground here. There's a sandbox and a 2 bouncy animals.  There's a nice ramp up to the slide, no steps. The plastic slide is about 5 feet high and has a couple of bounces going down. There is one bench here to sit on.

Next we walked to LR19, which was about a 7 minute walk on the sidewalk of April Brook Circle and the path. It's also not too far from the Kendall Ridge Pool. This was a nicely sized tot lot and had a bit of green area to run around on. We also crossed a bridge on the path, and that's usually very popular too! There are 3 benches to sit on here. The slide structure is large, and has big platform steps  going up to the slide. The slide itself is plastic and about 5 feet high, it goes straight down. There's a sandbox and 3 bouncy animals here. There are 2 baby swings on one beam, and 3 big kid swings on a second beam (in separate areas). The beam for the big kid swings has a place for a 4th swing. Again, the big kid swings here are a bit high off the ground. There's a square balance as well as a balance beam of 2 heights here.

LR11 & LR12

We visited tot lots LR11 and LR12 on June 1, 2017.

There are 2 paths to LR11. Both are quite close to the tot lot.  One is on Hayshed Ln and the other is on CooperHawk Ct.  This is a nicely shaded tot lot. There are 2 benches to sit on. There's a small square sandbox. There are 2 bouncy animals, which are a little high off the ground. The plastic slide is about 4 1/2 feet high, and has a couple of bounces going down. There are steps going up to the slide, and a little tunnel area beneath it.  There are 2 big kid swings and one baby swing, all on the same swing set. There's also a nice green area with some trees for the kids to run around on.

LR12 is about a 10 minute walk from LR11. There's not a path to walk, but the streets in this Long Reach neighborhood all have sidewalks, so it was a safe walk with kids. There are 4 entry points to the path to LR12, 3 of them are in the circel of Hayshed Ln, the 4th is off Winddance Way. Be warned, no matter which path you take, you'll be walking up a hill! Not super long, but steep enough, made a bit harder if you're pushing a stroller.  However, this tot lot is worth the hill. It's pretty well shaded and nicely spread out. There are 2 benches to sit on, one facing the slide, the other facing the baby swings. There are 2 baby swings, a small sandbox, and 2 bouncy animals on one side. Across the path is a nice tall slide, about 6 feet high, with a few bounces going down. There are nice large steps going up to the slide. There are also monkey bars attached. There are also 3 big kid swings here. While we were here it was pretty well shaded, but the baby swings were in the sun.
