HR12, HR13, HR14, HR15

We visited HR12, 13, 14, & 15 on June 10 and 11, 2015. They could all easily be done together in one visit, if you're willing to do a small amount of walking. Looking at the map it's hard to tell how close together these 4 tot lots really are, but each the longest walk is maybe 5 or 6 minutes - although that can be longer with toddlers who like to stop every 5 steps!

HR12 is on the small side. It has 2 swings, although they were missing when we were there. I'd guess there's one baby swing and one adult swing. This tot lot is slightly shaded, although the slide is in the sun (at least it was the morning we were there). There's a ramp up to the slide, or down to the rest of the area. This tot lot was not as looked after as some of the others we've seen. There was trash on the ground (despite the garbage can right next to it), and cigarette butts on the ground near the benches.

The way this one was separated into two levels was pretty neat. The bench and sandbox were on the upper level and access to the slide was a very slight incline from there. A steeper ramp led down to the lower level with the swing frame and trashcan. This was nestled in a grassy playable area rather than woods.

HR13 was directly in the sun. There are trees nearby, but none close enough to provide a shady cover. It has one baby swing and one adult swing, and two bouncy animals. The bouncy animals are a little high off the ground, so depending on your child's height, you may need to give them a lift up. There's a sandbox, and a slide, which is about 5 feet high, and plastic. Since it's in the sun, the slide can get a bit hot.

The bench and sandbox here were on an upper level while the swings, bouncy animals, and slide structure were below. A nice big open grassy area surrounded this one too.

HR14 is shaded. It has 2 adult swings and 2 baby swings. There's a ramp up to the slide, which is plastic and about 6 feet off the ground.  Also, the bottom of the slide is a bit high off the ground, so your child may get an extra little bounce on their landing. The slide also has a couple of bounces in it. There are also monkey bars at this tot lot, but they seemed a bit high too. There are 2 benches to sit on, also in the shade.  Additionally, there's a little bridge from the path close by. That provided as much entertainment for the kids as the rest of the tot lot did.

The swings here were an in between height. I could get onto them, and so could my (~37 inch) toddlers, but then they got stuck on their bellies. There was a trash can and recycle bin.

HR15 felt almost like a pseudo tot lot because it is the first I've found with no slide. It was nestled in the woods, completely shaded. There was a trash can, a bench, two bouncy animals, swings, and a sandbox. The swing set had one baby swing and three regular ones. The sandbox was filled with toys, most excitedly, three large construction trucks.
