WL8 & WL5

WL8 is right off of August Light.  The path is clearly visible from the road, and the tot lot is just a minute walk away. It's fairly well shaded, but the morning we were there the slide was slightly in the sun. The plastic slide is not even 5 feet high, and is a very smooth ride down. There are steps going up to it, and a little tunnel area underneath for the kids to run in as well.  There's a small sandbox, but no toys. Five swings, 2 baby swings and 3 adult swings and 2 bouncy animals. It's surrounded by the paths and lots of green grass for the kids to further run around on. If, like our kids, your little ones enjoy the bridges on the path, there are 2 bridges in sight for them to throw sticks and rocks into. There's one bench to sit on.

WL5 is a 5 to 10 minute walk further down the path (walking time determined by the company of 2 easily distracted toddlers!).  If you drive there, the path is right off of Green Mountain Circle, right at the intersection of New Moon Place. You could also park on Rivulet Row, the walk would be a slight bit farther though. There's a square sandbox, but no toys. Three sides of the sandbox are a bit high off the ground. There are 3 bouncy animals, 1 adult swing, and 1 baby swing. The plastic slide is about 5 feet off high. The bottom of the slide is about a foot off the ground, so you may want to watch the first time your little one goes down. There's also a bounce on the slide. There are steps up to the slide and again, tunnels underneath.  Again, lots of grassy area to run around, and some big rocks to climb too. We did, however, find a few pieces of glass near the rocks.  Sadly, I didn't think to take pictures of the rest of the tot lot or the fun rocks!

tot lot OM1

OM1 is located off the circle of Grapewine Ct. It's also pretty close to Netherstone Ct in Oakland Mills. It has 2 adult swings and one baby swing. The slide is about 4 1/2 feet high with a bounce going down. There are steps going up to the slide. There are 2 bouncy animals. There's a nice clean, square sandbox. There's also a nice green field behind the tot lot. It's  a nice area for kids to run around or play ball. This tot lot is somewhat shaded and somewhat sunny. Visited on 8/13/15.

OB7

We visited OB7 today (8/12/15). The path is off of Bendbough Ct, which is off of Cradlerock Way. This is a nice size, quiet tot lot. There isn't another tot lot in walkable distance from here.  There's a nice square sandbox with some toys in it. The plastic slide is about 5 feet high, with a bounce in it, going down. Steps go up to the slide, and there's a little tunnel underneath to run around. There are 2 adult swings and 2 baby swings.  2 bouncy animals, and a balance beam round out the lot.  There are 2 benches to sit on, as well as a picnic bench off to the side. There's not a lot of shade here.

KC6 & KC7

Today (6/25/15) we visited KC6 & 7. We started out at KC7 and decided to check out KC6 too.
We parked on Ladybug Row to go to KC7, and the tot lot is visible from the road. It's also walkable from Green Moon Path. This is a pretty well shaded tot lot, although the slide is slightly in the sun. There's a ramp up to the slide, which is about 5 feet high. However, the bottom of the slide is a bit high off the ground. There is one adult swing and one baby swing and two bouncy animals. There's one bench, in the shade to sit on. There's also a small sandbox here.
.

From KC7, we decided to walk to KC6. It's a 5 to 7 minute walk, and you can either take the paths, or walk down Green Moon Path to the next path, and find the tot lot from there. Both are pleasant walks. This was one of the more unique tot lot that I've been to so far. There was no slide here. It had a nice sandbox, complete with toys. 2 bouncy animals, and a bouncy car too. It also had a merry-go-round. Granted, the merry-go-round was a little squeaky and spider webby, but that didn't deter my daughter from enjoying a few rides while I pushed it. There's also a seesaw at this tot lot. There are 2 adult swings and one baby swing, however, the baby swing had straps, instead of being the type where you just plop your kid in and push.
Both of these tot lots are also accessible from the corner of Green Moon Path and Moon Rider Lane

Bouncy car and merry go round.

OM6

We visited OM6 on June 26, 2015. This was a nice tot lot. It's a very short walk from Hound Hill Ct. There's a sandbox with a lot of toys, including a digger, which looked like it was built into the sandbox. There are 2 bouncy animals, and a small tunnel to crawl through. 1 baby swing and 1 adult swing. The slide is about 6 feet high, with a couple of bounces in it, and a ramp going up to it. There's 1 bench and one picnic bench. This was a very nicely shaded tot lot. We spent nearly an hour there. It's close enough to the paths, that the kids can run around the paths, and there's enough green area to kick a ball around too.
