OB11 and OB12

We visited OB11 and OB12 on Monday, July 20, 2018

We started at OB12, which is just off of Star Path in Owen Brown. This tot lot and path really are not connected to any other paths, so it's really a stand alone tot lot.
There is one small sandbox here and monkey bars, which are high! There are also 3 bouncy animals. On one beam there are 3 big kid swings and one baby swing. The slide structure has steps going up to the slide, which is plastic and about 4 1/2 feet high, it goes straight down. There are 2 benches to sit on. This was a fairly well shaded tot lot as well. Today was a bit overcast, so it was already not too sunny, but there were a few trees surrounding the tot lot.

Since there are no paths connected to OB12, we got into the car and drove over to OB11, which is only about a 1/2 mile away. We parked on Dasher Court, but it's also accessible from Dawn Blush Court and Gentle Way.
OB11 is also pretty well shaded. It's also a nicely spread out tot lot, with each activity in its own little area. On one beam there is a beam with one baby swing and one big kid swing. The big swing was quite high. There was a sandbox with a few toys in it (usually the sign of well used tot lot!). There was a bouncy car, and 2 bouncy animals. The slide structure was quite similar to the one at OB12, with steps going up. The slide was plastic, about 4 1/2 feet high and had a bump going down. There were 2 benches to sit on.

HC09

We visited HC09 on July 20, 2018.

We set out to visit HC08 and HC09. Both appeared on the CA Pathways Map, but it appears that HC08 is no longer there. We parked on Even Star Place and took the path behind Longfellow Elementary School over towards Longfellow Pool. We passed where HC08 should have been, but didn't see any sign of it, so we continued on towards the pool, across the parking lot and basketball court to HC09.  For future reference, parking at the pool parking lot is much more convenient to the tot lot!
At HC09 we found one big kid swing and one baby swing on a shared beam. The big kid swing seemed a bit high off the ground. The plastic slide is about 5 feet high with a couple of bumps going down. The bottom of the slide is also at least 2 feet off the ground. There are steps going up to the slide. There are also a couple of tactile games here - tic tac toe, etc. There was also one unidentifiable object - so if you know what it is, please comment! It seemed like some sort of funnel, but I admit, I don't know what it was for - picture below.
This tot lot had trees around it, but was not that shaded. There are 3 benches to sit on.

OM2

 We visited OM2 on July 18, 2018.

OM2 is a right at the intersection of Wintercorn Lane and Orchard Green. It is visible from the street. This tot lot is on 2 levels, with the slide structure at the bottom and everything else up on the 2nd level. There's a nice slide structure here, and the slide is accessible from both steps going up and a ramp up on the second level. The slide is about 5 1/2 feet high with a couple of bounces going down. There are 2 bouncy animals here, but they are not next to each other. There are also 2 bouncy cars, which are next to each other. There's a sandbox with a few toys in it. There are 3 big kid swings and one baby swing all on one beam. There are 4 benches here, spread out around the tot lot. This is a fairly well shaded tot lot.
This tot lot backs right up to 108/Old Annapolis Rd, however, there is a tall fence all along the tot lot blocking the road.

KC8 and KC10

We visited KC8 and KC10 on July 12, 2018.

We started at KC10, parking on Single Bird Ln. You could also park on Indigo Ct. The tot lot was visible from the street. There are no big kid swings at this tot lot. There is one baby swing and a special needs swing here. There is a sandbox with a couple of toys in it. There is a nice sized slide structure here with a ramp going up. The slide is about 4 1/2 feet high, plastic and has a couple of bounces going down. There is one bench to sit on, which in the morning was in full sun. The rest of the tot lot was pretty well shaded in the morning. We did notice some fungus in spots on the ground.

We walked to KC8, which was about a 6 minute walk, mostly on the sidewalk of Keepsake Way.  The tot lot is at the end of the circle. This was another nicely shaded tot lot. There is one big kid swing and one baby swing on the same beam. There is one sandbox and two bouncy animals. There's a nice slide structure with big steps going up as well as a chain link ladder going up the back. The slide is about 7 feet high with a couple of bounces going down, but the bottom of the slide is a couple of feet off the ground. There are also monkey bars attached to the back. There is one bench to sit on. My 5 year old said "I liked the second tot lot better'.

HR16 & HR17

We visited HR16 and HR17 on July 11, 2018

We started at HR17. Looking at the map it was a bit difficult to figure out the best way to get to there, because there was no direct path from a main road. (It is off of the Clary's Forest Loop.) We parked on Green Meadow Dr, and it was an easy walk, right past basketball courts. There is a 4 seated seesaw (2 seats on each side). There are 4 big kid swings on one beam and 2 baby swings on a second beam. There's a nice merry-go-round here. Two bouncy cars and a sandbox. There is a very nice slide structure here. On the back was a chain link ladder as well as big steps to climb up. The slide is about 5 1/2 feet high, plastic and has a couple of bounces going down. There are high monkey bars attached to the back of the slide structure. There is a tic tac toe game too. There are 3 benches to sit on, 2 in one area, and the third in another area. There's a nice green grassy area for kids to run around in too. This tot lot was pretty well shaded at the time we were there (morning).

We got back in the car to go to HR16. While it probably is walkable - at least for an adult, it looked a bit too long to 'risk' with kids. The drive was about half a mile, and only took a couple of minutes. We parked on White Cord Way, at the end of the circle. It's a short walk down the path to the tot lot. There's a nice sandbox right next to the benches. There is a beam with 2 baby swings, and a second beam with spots for 4 big kid swings. However, today the swings were missing. I spoke to a couple of parents/nannies who were there and said the swings had been there a few days ago, so my guess is that the swings are being replaced and will hopefully be back soon! There is one bouncy animal. There's a nice slide structure with a ramp going up. There are 2 slides attached, both are metal. One is about 5 feet high, the other is about 3 1/2 feet high, both go straight down. This is also a nicely shaded tot lot.
